Well it's the time again for us to do our reflection about our days over the fortnight. Here goes nothing...
“Expect the unexpected” I quote from a lecturer’s warning or so called warning. I guess we have to expect the unexpected when you are a law student. Like me, I did not expect that I would be getting such a packed schedule for Tuesdays. Somehow, someway, all my tutorial classes ended up on the same day. So with all the tutorial classes, English classes as well as a lecture on the same day, it made me have classes from 8am until 4pm. It is quite a handful to handle and prepare for on the day before Tuesday. That is why we should really expect the unexpected.
Well I guess, the mixed up was because we got to know our tutorial groups late. They should have given out the tutorial groups on the first week itself during the same time that we would register our courses. So, we can plan our timetable and not make it clash at all. I really hope that the administration would do something bout it and not have the same havoc occur in the next year. Students should get to know the groups first so they can plan their language classes at the right timing to avoid any clashes as once we have registered for these language classes, it is quite hard to actually change the time.
So far, tutorial classes are doing fine so far. You can say that it is a blessing in disguise. Why so? Well even though I have to suffer in preparing the night before for the classes on Tuesday but then again, I would not have to have the hassle to go to faculty at odd hours for just an hour class. Well I guess it’s a blessing in a way that I could actually rest for the rest of the week and not care bout my tutorials anymore until the next week.
In contract tutorial class, I learned the better way of answering our questions. Before this, I would actually ramble away when answering a question. Now I know a much more systematic and neater way to write my answer instead of the ways I have been used to answer back in the times when I was still in the Pre-Law program. Besides that, in contract’s tutorial class, I finally got the idea of how a mini moot works, not entirely know how but having to know how it works slightly, makes a different on how I think a mini moot works.
Up till today, I think I have only learned a lot in contract classes as well as the tutorials for contract. As for Constitutional and Administration Law as well as Malaysian Legal System, I didn’t quite learn much about it. I am still rather lost in Constitutional and Administration Law class and Malaysian Legal System is almost part of what I have already learned when I was in Pre-Law in UiTM so, I have not learned much in that class.
Overall, I must say that much effort is needed for this course no matter if you are in the first year or in the fourth year.
I guess that’s all that I needed to reflect on this time. Until next time
Much Love,
Diyana
