Thanks for the response. Contrary to what you said/think, i did visit this blog and many times too. I could not reply to your post immediately, as i had misplaced the email add and the password and only just found it. I did not reply to the sms as it would be too long and thus the blog is more appropriate.
Yes, i too would have liked to give each one of you a personal comment. In fact, that is what i wanted to do initially. However, upon discussion with the other instructors, it was decided that if we did, it would be intruding into your space, and might curtail students' writing and our comments may inhibit students who want to write freely. While i agree with you that, yes,a personal comment would have been helpful in aiding your reflection, still, not all students may feel comfortable with the comment. Some instructors may be careful or tactful, while others may be too forthright or frank. So, we decided that that we would just give a general comment in class and let the blog be a free and uninhibited platform for students to say what they feel/think.
And this is the reason why i didnt give a personal comment. Of course, looking at the practical side of it, i wouldn't have been able to cope and would not have been able to give you guys the comment on time, seeing that i had 40 students to comment at any one time. Unless, i just gave a one line/sentence comment, which i doubt would have been useful.
I do value your feedback on this, and perhaps the second time round, perhaps instructors could look into providing feedback on students' entries.
Take care, God bless and Merry Christmas!! :))
